West River renovations is a new boutique home improvement service. The company’s focus is on providing well-crafted home improvements to the local community. Many contractors spend their time on the road moving between jobs and stuck in traffic trying to manage trades and different job sites remotely. And yes, there are plenty of apps out there that can help the tech-savvy contractor do all this better. I don’t know about you, but the contractors I know are more interested in the kind of tech that can slice a finger clean, and not the tech that requires swiping fingers. The owner wants to work in the West River community where he lives and strike a comfortable work-life balance, hence the name of the service.
Together we chose elements for the logo that reflect the abstracted shapes of the crafted architecture in the neighborhood and the ravine that wraps around the mature suburban community. As is common with logo design, we went through many versions of the wordmark, shapes, and color schemes. At the time this article was written, they were still making a decision on one of the two options featured. We wish WWR all the best in their new venture and hope see them sporting their new visual branding on vans, and polo shirts on the job sites in this neighborhood soon.
